Emilie Price joined Kryterion nearly three years ago after finding a listing on Indeed. She currently serves as the Communications Manager within the marketing team. Her role has expanded over time to include marketing operations, website management, and graphic design. Emilie enjoys this evolution because it allows her to contribute to the company in many different ways.
Taking Marketing Mobile
One of the most impactful areas of her work involves managing the Kryterion website. Emilie learned how to navigate the backend of the site to make updates and launch new pages quickly. This shift has made the marketing team more agile because they no longer have to wait for external sources to make necessary changes. Her involvement in HubSpot and website management helps the team promote new content and events in real time.
Building the Brand In House
Emilie is also proud of the graphic design skills she has developed during her time here. The marketing team decided to bring all social media and design work in house over a year ago. This change allowed them to refine the brand style and maintain total creative control. Emilie finds great satisfaction in seeing the visual results of her labor improve as she invests more time into the craft.
Staying Motivated
A busy workload can sometimes feel overwhelming but Emilie manages it by focusing on one task at a time. She has discovered that her bandwidth is much higher than she initially thought. Her team provides her greatest source of motivation. She refers to her colleagues as the three marketing musketeers and appreciates the empowerment she receives from her manager Kim.
Life Outside Kryterion
When she is not at her desk Emilie loves to spend as much time outdoors as possible. She is an avid paddle boarder and enjoys beach volleyball and hiking and running. She also speaks fluent German. Her mother is an immigrant and Emilie spent most of her childhood summers visiting family in Germany. She feels a deep sense of pride in her heritage and culture.
Emilie is a dedicated cat lover with four feline companions named Jasper and Mango and Gypsy and Seraphina. They are a constant source of love and entertainment in her life. To unwind after a busy day she has recently taken up pottery. Working with clay allows her to get lost in the quiet and reconnect with herself.
A Meaningful Journey
One of the most meaningful trips Emilie has taken was to Bornholm in Denmark. Last summer she traveled there with her mother and aunt and her grandmother who is nearing ninety years old. They all visited the island together because that is where her Oma and Opa took their children on summer vacations for many years. Since her Opa has passed away the trip was a beautiful way for her Oma to relive some of the most cherished memories of raising her children.
Emilie deeply treasures these moments where she is surrounded by different generations of her family. Being able to connect with her history alongside the women who shaped it is a rare and special gift. These experiences remind her of the importance of family roots and the stories that connect the past to the present.
