At Kryterion, we believe the people behind the platform are just as vital as the technology that powers it. In this month’s spotlight, we’re highlighting a longtime team member who has played a central role in shaping our psychometric services: our Director of Psychometric Services.
A Career Built on Trust and Growth
She joined Kryterion in 2011 as a psychometrician, bringing with her a deep understanding of exam development. Her path here was rooted in collaboration—her previous employer had worked with Kryterion on multiple projects, giving her the chance to build strong professional relationships with Leslie Thomas and several members of our sales team. When Kryterion expanded its psychometric services, she already knew it was the right fit.
What Sets Kryterion Apart?
When asked about the company’s success, she credits two things: the dependability of Webassessor and the dedication of Kryterion’s people. “The key is a balance between Webassessor being reliable and easy to use, and the customer service provided by employees,” she says. This combination continues to differentiate Kryterion in a highly competitive industry.
The Evolving Landscape of Psychometrics
Looking ahead, she’s excited about the role AI could play in transforming exam development. “Many of the steps in examination development and maintenance will be assisted by AI in the not-too-distant future,” she notes. Increased efficiency, faster item creation, and reduced costs could benefit clients across the board. While some of this progress could reduce traditional psychometric revenue, she sees long-term value: “If AI integration in Webassessor is well designed, it could offer a strong competitive edge.”
Living the Value of Integrity
The Kryterion core value that resonates with her most is We build trust. “Integrity matters to me in every aspect of life,” she says. In her role, that shows up through transparency, follow-through, and a consistent commitment to high-quality deliverables that meet professional and legal standards. It’s a value she lives by, not just one she works by.
Outside the Office: Travel, Advocacy, and Manchego
When she’s not guiding assessment strategy, she’s often seeking out new cultures and cuisines. Her most memorable adventure? The Galapagos Islands, where she snorkeled with sea lions, penguins, and marine iguanas. “It exceeded my expectations in every way,” she shares.
She’s also a longtime advocate for animal welfare. Having participated in Trap Neuter Return programs for years, she’s helped many cats find safety and care. One of them—Manchego, a feral cat she rescued after spotting an abscess—is now part of her home.
If given the chance to share a meal with anyone from history, she’d choose Ruth Bader Ginsburg. “She was brilliant and had a sharp sense of humor,” she says. “I admire how she framed gender equality in a way that uplifted everyone.”
Her favorite ways to unwind? A workout to clear her head, followed by a good crime drama to relax before bed. “There’s something comforting about the resolution at the end of those shows,” she says.
